    Aug 09,  · I think the book looks well laid out and nicely done, but agree with the idea that the whole concept of memorizing hundreds or thousands of "shapes" is ultimately impractical - while some amount of memorization is inevitable, ultimately you want to be able to have enough knowledge of theory and the fretboard to work out the "shapes" for yourself.
